Lowell R. Wealand

Lowell Robert Wealand, 84, of Stevens, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center in Lancaster, PA. 

He is survived by his wife of 61 years E. Ruth (Hess) Wealand; his daughter, Kathy D., wife of Jonathan J. Gyorke of Akron, PA; grandson, Brett A. Diem, husband of Genny (Anglin) Diem of Lititz, PA; great-grandson, Dakota Diem of Lititz; and sister, Gloria L. Wissler of Lancaster, PA.

Lowell was born January 22, 1926 in Scheafferstown, PA, a son of the late Robert W. and Minerva C. (Bair) Wealand.  He was a member of Hopeland United Methodist Church and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater with the United States Marine Corps.

Friends will be received from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 18, 2010 at Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, Inc. 100 W. Main St. Ephrata, PA.  Funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Dennis Snovel officiating.  Interment will be held in Mt. Airy Cemetery.

After the services, family and friends are invited to attend a luncheon at Hopeland U.M. Church, 295 N. Clay Rd. Lititz, PA 17543-7409.
