Jane K. Heil

Jane K. Heil, 79, of Reinholds, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at the Hospice of Lancaster County Mt. Joy Hospice Center.

Born in Lititz, PA, Jane was a daughter of the late Elmer and Mary Ann (Keath) Bowman.  She retired from the former Ephrata Shoe Company and was previously employed by the former A&N Wolf Shoe Company of Denver, PA.

A member of Mellingers Lutheran Church in Schoeneck, PA, she was also an active member of the Cocalico Senior Center and involved with the Stevens and Reamtown Fire Companies' Ladies Auxiliaries.

Jane is survived by two daughters: Joyce A., wife of Bradley Auker of Reinholds, PA and Mary L., wife of Charles Murse of Ephrata, PA; three sons: William E. Sweigart, husband of Debra A. (Reider) of Stevens, PA, Barry L. Sweigart, husband of Pauline (Mitchell) of Denver, PA, and Robert D. Sweigart of Ephrata, PA; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elnora Kromer of Ephrata, PA.

Jane was preceded in death by two husbands, Lester E. Sweigart who passed in 1968 and Robert G. Heil who passed in 1996.  Also preceding her in death was a sister, Luella Mentzer and a brother, Lloyd Bowman.

Funeral services will be held at Mellingers Lutheran Church, 80 Gockley Rd., Stevens (Schoeneck), PA on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Timothy L. Craven officiating.  Friends will be received at the church from 10-11.  Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery Annex, Denver, PA.
